Vă mulțumesc pentru participarea la testarea acestui joc! Acest proiect reprezintă o lucrare de licență axată pe dezvoltarea unui sistem inteligent de DDA (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment) dezvoltat în Unity.

Jocul este un 2D Boss Battle, inspirat din stilul animațiilor Rubber Hose din anii 1930 (Cuphead vibe). Te vei confrunta cu Müller, un șef de poliție neamț, într-o luptă dinamică pe parcursul a 3 faze distincte, unde inteligența artificială îți va analiza performanța în timp real și va ajusta dificultatea meciului pe parcurs.

CONTROALE JOC 

-A / D - Deplasare Stânga / Dreapta

-S - Ghemuire (Crouch)

-CTRL - Ochește pentru atac

-SPACE - Săritură (Jump)

-SHIFT - Dash (Alunecare rapidă)

-Mouse Left Click - Atac (Tragi cu Banane)

-SPACE - Parry (Îți permite să interacționezi cu obiectele de culoare Roz!)

ESTIMARE TIMP ȘI DIFICULTATE

-Dificultate: Medie Ridicată (Stil Boss Rush / Platformer Hardcore).

-Jucător Mediu (care a mai jucat platformere sau jocuri de acțiune): Durata estimată de învățare și parcurgere completă este de aproximativ 15 minute.

-Jucător Începător: Poate dura mai mult.

P.S. : Dacă după mai multe încercări simți că nivelul este prea dificil și nu reușești să îl treci, este complet okay! E important la fel de mult și comportamentul algoritmului în cazul în care boss-ul câștigă. Poți opri testul și trimite datele adunate până în acel punct.

GHID DE TESTARE 

Pasul 1: Descărcarea și Instalarea

1. Descarcă arhiva jocului de pe această pagină (butonul de Download de mai jos).
2. Extrage (Unzip) conținutul arhivei într-un folder pe calculator.
3. Lansează jocul deschizând fișierul Fernweh Monkey.exe.

Pasul 2: Parcurgerea Testului

IMPORTANT! (Fiecărui participant îi este asignată o grupă. Aceasta se determină după ziua nașterii, adică participanții cu data nașterii pară vor fi în grupa 1, iar cei cu data nașterii impară vor fi în grupa 2.)

1. Înainte de a începe nivelul, folosește butonul TUTORIAL din dreapta-jos a meniului principal pentru a învăța mișcările de bază, Dash-ul și mecanica de Parry. 
2. Foarte Important: În secțiunea opțiuni setează DDA pe on dacă ai asignat numărul grupei 1, și pe off dacă numărul grupei 2.
3. Când pornești jocul, introdu un nume de utilizator în căsuța de salvare (Save Slot) pentru a îți recunoaște datele. (Îl vei introduce în formular cu numărul grupei asignat)
   
4. Intră în meci și joacă până când fie îl învingi (apare ecranul de victorie), fie decizi să te oprești.

Pasul 3: Extragerea Datelor și Completarea Formularului

1. În timpul meciului, jocul va crea automat un fișier de statistici pe ecran.
2. După ce ai terminat sesiunea de joc, mergi pe Desktop-ul calculatorului. (Uneori e nevoie de un refresh pentru ca folderul să apară)
3. Caută un folder nou creat acolo (FernwehMonkey_Logs) care conține un fișier de tip .csv (DDA_Master_Log).
4. Accesează Formularul de Feedback (https://forms.gle/zptgWc1HhVLQJqMo9).  (Când accesezi formularul, itch.io s-ar putea să afișeze un avertisment de securitate deoarece link-ul te scoate de pe platformă. Este o măsură standard, iar formularul Google este 100% sigur.)
5. Completează scurtele întrebări din chestionar, iar la ultima secțiune, atașează fișierul .csv de pe Desktop în câmpul dedicat încărcării fișierelor.

Thank you for participating in the testing of this game! This project represents a bachelor's thesis focused on the development of an intelligent DDA (Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment) system developed in Unity. 

The game is a 2D Boss Battle, inspired by the 1930s Rubber Hose animation style (Cuphead vibe). You will face Müller, a German police chief, in a dynamic battle across 3 distinct phases, where the artificial intelligence will analyze your performance in real-time and adjust the match difficulty along the way.

GAME CONTROLS

-A / D - Move Left / Right

-S - Crouch

-CTRL - Aim for attack

-SPACE - Jump

-SHIFT - Dash (Quick slide)

-Mouse Left Click - Attack (Shoot Bananas)

-SPACE - Parry (Allows you to interact with Pink-colored objects!)

TIME AND DIFFICULTY ESTIMATION

-Difficulty: Medium High (Boss Rush / Hardcore Platformer style).

-Average Player (who has played platformers or action games before): The estimated time for learning and full completion is approximately 15 minutes.

-Beginner: It might take longer. 

P.S. : If after several attempts you feel the level is too difficult and you cannot pass it, that is completely okay! The behavior of the algorithm in case the boss wins is just as important. You can stop the test and send the data collected up to that point.

TESTING GUIDE

Step 1: Download and Installation

1. Download the game archive from this page (the Download button below).
2. Extract (Unzip) the contents of the archive into a folder on your computer.
3. Launch the game by opening the Fernweh Monkey.exe file.

Step 2: Running the Test

IMPORTANT! (Each participant is assigned a group. This is determined by your birth date, meaning participants with an even birth date will be in Group 1, and those with an odd birth date will be in Group 2.)

1. Before starting the level, use the TUTORIAL button in the bottom-right of the main menu to learn the basic movements, the Dash, and the Parry mechanic.
2. Very Important: In the options section, set DDA to ON if you are assigned to Group 1, and to OFF if you are assigned to Group 2.
3. When you start the game, enter a username in the save slot to recognize your data. (You will enter it in the form along with your assigned group number)
4. Enter the match and play until you either defeat him (the victory screen appears) or you decide to stop.

Step 3: Data Extraction and Completing the Form

1. During the match, the game will automatically create a statistics file on your screen.
2. After you have finished the gaming session, go to your computer's Desktop. (You may need to refresh for the folder to appear)
3. Look for a newly created folder there (FernwehMonkey_Logs) that contains a .csv file (DDA_Master_Log).
4. Access the Feedback Form (https://forms.gle/jxsc3CAt6XTZdLmZ7). (When accessing the form, itch.io might display a security warning because the link takes you off the platform. This is a standard measure, and the Google Form is 100% safe.)
5. Complete the short questions in the survey, and in the final section, attach the .csv file from your Desktop in the dedicated file upload field.
